If you received a notice from the landlord
The person delivering is not the landlord and most likely doesn't even know the landlord. They are not there to harass you and is a neutral party. Don't take any frustrations out on them
You can't avoid the notice, it doesn't have to be given directly to you and will be posted to the door at some point. Avoiding it doesn't buy you much time and if it's posted there is a chance you won't see it until it's too late
Contact the property owner and try to settle the problem or come to an arrangement
The longer you ignore the notice the more costly it will become
